A friend is someone special,
A friend is someone true.
A friend will always be there,
When you need someone there for you.
A friend always listens,
A friend never says "good for you."
A friend will cry when you cry,
And wipe your tears by and by.
A friend will say just the right words,
A friend will share your pain.
A friend will be more than one of the girls,
Who will listen as you tell the tale over again.
So be a friend and you will see,
What treasure there is in caring,
For if you are a friend to me,
There will be much we will be sharing.
