PAPANERO PICKLE PEPPER = A FINE PRODUCT OF THE COROZAL DISTRICT AT EXPO VILLAGE 2015

For those of you who have not seen or heard or tasted it yet, Papanero is a hot pepper sauce made in Corozal, Belize by Mr. Jimmy Gegg and his wife, Rene.  This hot pepper sauce is a must on your shopping list if you live in Belize. If you are visiting Belize make sure to find PAPANERO Pickle Pepper!!

CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR SENIORS CITIZENS IN COROZAL, BELIZE

COROZAL DISTRICT HELD INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR SENIOR CITIZENS ON OCTOBER 1ST., 2015. The arts and crafts on display were made by the members of HelpAge Belize, Corozal Branch! Certificates were given to the Members of the HelpAge. Three certificates were for recognition of long standing members and five were in appreciation of membership in HelpAge.  

At present Martha Cho is the Chairperson of the Corozal Branch.

A special thank you must go to Mrs. Cho for a job well done! Her dedication to the people of Belize in her capacity as Matron in the Hospital over the years has also been very outstanding.

COROZAL BAY MINISTER HELPS YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR

Hon Pablo Saul Marin donated a tattoo bed to a small entrepreneur as he shows support to our youths in the month of September!!!

HATS OFF FOR THE PEOPLE'S MINISTER WHO IS HELPING TO CREATE A BETTER COROZAL!!

COROZAL GETS NEW OPERATING THEATRE

Inauguration Ceremony was held September 18, 2015 for the residents of Corozal to get a chance to see the new Operating Theatre at the Corozal Community Hospital which came at a cost of approximately over BZ$1 Million. First Surgery in the new theatre will be done in the coming weeks.

This news is welcoming to the Corozal District residents who remember that many years ago Corozal did have an Operating Theatre in the Corozal Hospital. Said Operating Theatre was later removed and taken to Orange Walk to be used at the Northern Regional Hospital.

It has been a long time but I am sure the people of the Corozal District are happy to know they will no longer have to travel all the way to Orange Walk for their surgeries.

Caribbean Spirit Carnival Group of COROZAL TOWN

The Caribbean Spirit Carnival Group also participated in the Corozal Carnival Parade. Hats off to this group for their wonderful costume and vibrant performance. I was not there but i was told it was great!!!!
